“The Village of Yellow Springs Receives Certificate of Excellence”

Yellow Springs, OH, April 6, 2021. The Village of Yellow Springs has qualified for the 2020 Certificate of Excellence in Reliability from The American Public Power Association (APPA) and American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) based on excellence in electric reliability.

Yellow Springs has been found to be in the top 25% of utilities for System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) based on the EIA data collected in 2015-2019. With the use of the eReliability Tracker by the APPA, our community was compared with the national reliability data through the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

During this time, receiving this achievement speaks volumes to the Village's commitment to excellence, and resilience. Through the careful work of our Village team, the Village of Yellow Springs now has the ability to receive a certificate and plaque to recognize this incredible accomplishment.
