The Banner Project

To honor the activist spirit, the Yellow Springs Public Arts and Culture Commission has launched the protest poster lamppost banner series on Dayton Street and Xenia Avenue.

For decades, residents of Yellow Springs have engaged in activism, often taking to the streets to demand social change in support of critical issues related to fighting racism, sexism, LGBTQ rights, and for environmental justice.  This annual series displays educational protest pieces used during demonstrations over the years by community residents.

We wish to thank all the participants and the Village of Yellow Springs for their support of this exhibit.Protest Poster Exhibit
