CivicPlus is a new, opt-in notification service that the Village of Yellow Springs is implementing to allow for communication with residents for non-emergency information. This service is meant to supplement – not replace – our current emergency notification system, Hyper-Reach, which you can sign up for HERE.
  
The decision to employ the new CivicPlus communication tool was reached after conducting community surveys and soliciting feedback from residents, and the overwhelming response was that text messaging is the best way to reach our citizens.
  
Additionally, this new service allows residents to receive notifications via email and landline telephone.
  
Note that CivicPlus specifically DOES NOT sell user information to third-party vendors.
