JOB TITLE: Gate Attendant Gaunt Park Pool   
Reports to:  Parks & Recreation Coordinator or Designee
Employment Status:  Temporary/Seasonal
FLSA: Non-Exempt

All gate attendants will be responsible to handle the sale and stocking of the concession stand. They will be trained on the process of the sale as well as the handling and responsibility of the cash drawer. Gate attendants will be responsible for checking Swimming pass badge numbers and making sure patrons are signing in daily and following pool rules when not in the pool as well as helping with the up keep of the facility and the lawn areas.

This position requires the following:

• Basic math skills
• Ability to use accounting/cash register
• Scheduling flexibility
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry, push/pull heavy objects
• Interaction with the public with a courteous, polite demeanor as a representative of The Village of Yellow Springs
• Must be 15 years old on or before May 1st
• Negative urine drug screening

Successful candidates will be Seasonal employees of the Village of Yellow Springs and will receive bi-weekly payroll via direct deposit to a bank account. Income is subject to payroll taxes for the municipality, the state and the federal government.  Employees must provide two forms of identification. Employees under the age of 18 as of May 1 must provide a signed copy of the consent to work form provided.
