Block Parties are a great way to come together and build a stronger community to make our Village a better place to be. When planning a block party please be considerate of your neighbors and how the road closures may affect them.

The Village staff will drop off barricades for street closures on the corners of streets scheduled to be closed, on their last scheduled day of work and collect them on their next scheduled day of work. Block party planners are responsible for setting up dropped-off barricades and returning the barricades off the street to be collected.

The Village has a limited amount of barricades and therefore can only accommodate 5 or fewer block parties during the same weekend, depending on other events going on in the Village. Your request for a block party may be denied if the Village cannot provide safety needs.
