Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio

The State of Ohio released new standards surrounding COVID and the expectation for Vaccinated and Unvaccinated individuals. The Village of Yellow Springs, as stated in Village Council Meetings - and as of June 2nd, 2021 will follow the State mandate in regards to these standards. 

There are no current or formal mask protocols in place for the Village of Yellow Springs, aside from Village owned facilities. At these government facilities, masks are required for non-vaccinated individuals and encouraged for those who may have safety concerns. Per the various locations, there may be additional safety procedures in place. Please contact the Village with specific locations in-person safety standards. 

As of June 2nd, the outdoor masking protocol has ended and no longer exists. However, requiring a mask in privately owned Yellow Springs businesses is at the sole discretion of the individual business/owner.  Some local businesses still require masks indoors. So, it is recommended that patrons carry a mask with them when shopping local to ensure a successful experience.
