Yellow Springs Area Schools and Universities

Mills Lawn School

A National School of Excellence
Our staff members, parents, and members of the broader Yellow Springs community are dedicated to excellence in education at service to our students.

Above all else, Mills Lawn strives to be a good place for people to be - a place where intriguing things go on throughout the day. Mills Lawn is a place where people arrive early and enjoy lingering at the end of the day. We want our school to be an exciting place where children and adults learn in an atmosphere of warmth, cooperation, and respect.

Yellow Springs High School / McKinney School

1997 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence
YSHS provides dynamic educational experiences, skill, passion, and knowledge needed for students to reach their fullest potential as individuals and as responsible members of the world community.

Greene County Learning Center

The Greene County Learning Center provides a program for children and youth in Greene County, Ohio, who are identified as having a severe behavioral handicap (SBH). The teachers and therapists at the Center meet the academic and emotional needs of the children and youth, comprehensively, in the classroom and in therapy.

Greene County Career Center

Greene County Career Center provides quality career-technical and academic instruction for over 1000 high school and 8000 adult students annually.

The Antioch School

The Antioch School has provided alternative education since 1921. Based in Yellow Springs, we provide personalized, student guided education from pre-school through 6th grade.

Community Children's Center

At the Community Children's Center (CCC), we strive to provide children with a consistent daily rhythm, a safe and inviting environment and age and developmentally appropriate, nourishing experiences. Our qualified teachers are warmly responsive to the needs of each child. We keep our child-to-teacher ratios lower than most other child care centers and lower than the state requires.

Antioch College

Antioch College is a private, independent liberal arts college that blends practical work experience with classroom learning and participatory community governance. Antioch's mission is to empower its students through an understanding of the force of knowledge and its use in action.

Antioch University McGregor

Antioch University McGregor, established in 1988, offers academic programs for adults that are responsive to emerging societal needs. Each program encourages critical thinking, provides opportunities for collaborative learning, emphasizes cultural diversity and an international perspective, and promotes the integration of life and work experience with academic knowledge. We believe that education is most effective when students, faculty, staff, and administration unite as a community of learners.
