Assistant Village Manager

The Village of Yellow Springs is seeking a full-time Assistant Village Manager to coordinate the Village’s Economic Development, Planning, and Community Development efforts to generate new job creation and improve the quality of life for all citizens.  Under the general direction of the Village Manager, the Assistant Village Manager will manage the activities and operations of the Village’s economic development efforts; provide primary staff support to the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals; administer the Zoning Code and other Village Codes related to nuisance abatement; work on special projects as assigned by the Village Manager; and act as the Village Manager in the Manager’s absence.  Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, or related field, Master’s degree preferred; and has a minimum of five years experience in a supervisory position that includes community and economic development activities, preferably in municipal government.

The Assistant Village Manager is a full-time, salaried position.  The salary range for the position is $55,000-$70,000 per year depending upon the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.  In addition, there is an excellent fringe benefit package.
