LEGISLATION/PUBLIC HEARINGS
Resolution #2005-14: Sanitary Sewer Extension-Morris Bean
Company. Citing his investment interests in MB, Council
member George Pitstick reqused himself from this discussion.
Sandy Love, representing Morris Bean, explained that funding was
available through a grant program that would allow for Morris Bean
to request a sanitary sewer extension and attachment to the Village’s
sanitary sewer system. The purpose of the request is to remove a
portion of MB sanitary sewage out of its existing infiltration plant.
Aging and other factors have made this present process a potential
threat to the Village’s well field. MB was previously unable
to make this request to the Village due to the prohibitive cost.
With the grant, this is no longer the case.
In answering questions from the audience and Council, Hawkey explained
that this would be a pressure line that would be exclusively used
by MB. The nature of the pressure line would prevent hookups from
private home development. This request is granted for this one time
and no additional requests would be considered for this project.
There would no expenses incurred by the Village. The Village role’s
is to be the conduit for the grant itself.
Hardman MOVED and Swinger SECONDED a MOTION for APPROVAL. The roll
was called and the MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
