SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

IN Council Chambers @ 8:30 a.m. December 10, 2005

CALL TO ORDER
Hardman called the meeting to order at 8:45 am.

ADMINISTERING THE OATH OF OFFICE - By Jocelyn Hardman to incoming Council member Kathryn Chase.

ROLL CALL
Jocelyn Hardman, Karen Wintrow, Judith Hempfling, Bruce Rickenbach and Kathryn Chase were present. Village Manager Search Committee members in attendance: Al Schlueter, Mary Rickenbach, Sharon Potter, Len Kramer and Tom Haugsby.

First Session:
8:30 am Morning Session for Council and Search Committee

Executive Session:

MOTION FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Rickenbach MOVED and Hempfling SECONDED a MOTION to go into an Executive Session for Personnel-Employment in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code #121.22 (G)(1). The roll was called the MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

9:00 am Interview Tom Carroll, Council conducts; Committee is present

10:15 am Interview Eric Strahl, Council conducts; Committee is present

11:30 am Interview Eric Swansen, Council conducts; Committee is present

Council agreed to a recess from 12:45 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. for lunch.

1:05 pm Rickenbach MOVED and Wintrow SECONDED a MOTION to return into the Executive Session for Personnel-Employment in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code #121.22 (G)(1). The roll was called the MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

1:06 p.m. Debriefing Session for Council and Search Committee

2:00 p.m. Council Work Session.

GENERAL SESSION:
Rickenbach MOVED and Wintrow SECONDED a MOTION to go return to the General Session. The MOTION PASSED. Council agreed to pursue further discussions with Eric Swansen regarding the Village Manager position and to meet with Swansen on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.

ADJOURNMENT
Having no further business, Rickenbach MOVED and Hempfling SECONDED a MOTION to ADJOURN. The MOTION PASSED at 2:30 p.m.
